Our brain is made up of millions of cells, which have a very complex interaction with each other. Any breach in the circuit may lead to deficits in the body and loss of consciousness. The brain is protected by a skull, which is covered by soft skin known as scalp. The scalp is a vascular structure and bleeding from scalp usually does not stop easily and can be enormous. Hence, a very tight bandage over scalp may be required is case of scalp injury. Inside skull bone, the brain is protected by a tight and tough membrane known as Dura mater. The brain float inside this solid skull and fluid which it floats is called as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
